“I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn.” – Anne Frank | Tuesday, 4 April, 1944

Join us for two very special virtual events in honor of Anne Frank’s 92nd birthday:

Friday June 11th | 12:00pm MDT – Testimony from Anita, Holocaust survivor

Anita was born in 1936 in Emmen, a small town in northern Holland. The Nazis invaded the Netherlands in 1940, and Anita and her four siblings were eventually sent into hiding. After arriving in the United States in 1952, Anita went on to receive an MA from Harvard in Russian Studies and a PhD in Human Development. She joined the JFCS William J. Lowenberg Speakers Bureau in 2019 and has since inspired thousands of students, teachers, and community members.

Presented in partnership with the JFCS Holocaust Center William J. Lowenberg Speaker’s Bureau.
