Upstander C.A.R.E. Scholarships

(Compassion, Acceptance, Respect, Empathy)

Applications are now open for the 2024 Upstander C.A.R.E. (Compassion, Acceptance, Respect, Empathy) Scholarships.

Each year, graduating Idaho high school students will be awarded with cash scholarships up to $2,000 for taking action to create positive change in their communities. These individuals will be honored as upstanders – those who recognize a wrong and take action to make it right. While being an upstander is a shared responsibility, each winner’s achievements will display a remarkable choice to combat intolerance, prejudice, and injustice and make constructive contributions to reshaping the world.

Emphasis will be given to accomplishments that exhibit sustainable acts of compassion, acceptance, respect, and empathy toward others. The Wassmuth Center strives to encourage youth to positively contribute to their communities.
