    Cultural Encounters

Travel with fellow Wassmuth Center supporters to experience another culture through a human rights lens.

Each cultural encounter provides an opportunity to not only financially support the work of the Center in bringing human rights education to classrooms and communities throughout the state, but also to meet others in our network who are committed to promoting respect for human dignity and diversity through education.  A cultural encounter is more than just a trip; it’s a life-changing journey.

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts.  Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”

    – Mark Twain
