What is Pedals and Packs?
Thirty years ago, Cambodia emerged from a brutal regime that resulted in complete destruction of schools. Since then, rebuilding the country’s educational system has been a top priority and considerable improvements have been made.
However, despite these efforts, Cambodia’s education sector remains blemished by limited access to quality instruction, inadequate school facilities and high dropout rates. Access to and completion of primary school remain a pressing dilemma. Getting to a school where students can complete upper primary grades may mean traveling far from home. Having a bicycle is more than a child’s wish; it is a student’s transportation to his or her future.
Each $65 donation to Pedals and Packs will provide one student in Cambodia with a bicycle and backpack – and one less obstacle on the road to an education.

Cambodia
March 15-22, 2025
Journey through the heart and history of Cambodia with the Wassmuth Center during Spring Break 2025! Beginning in Phnom Penh, the travelers visit the Royal Palace, the Killing Fields, and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Spending one full day in the rural countryside, participants experience the excitement of a bicycle distribution when 200 students receive a bicycle and backpack. The journey concludes with several days in Siem Reap, exploring the ancient marvels of Angkor Wat.
Program Cost: $3,700
This includes roundtrip international airfare to Cambodia, double occupancy hotel room, private local guide for our group who will be with us the entire trip, ground transportation, boat excursion, activities, entrance fees and all tips, bottled water, and 13 meals.
